I think u guys are going the wrong way.... I couldn't care less about site "functionality" - what I look is content... I usually came here to see the new games being made - the ideas - and the tutorials like the image loading app from Adam, and so many other stuff I heard about. This was a NEWS site with HOT NEWS.... AFTER reading the latest news, THEN I came to the msgboard to help or be helped. I really don't think this site should change, be improved or whatever.. it was the best site of all times and was really putting the community together just by showing the community work.No need for fancy stuff. I am sorry to see this, but when this site died a big part of vb community went with it.... and now with this "offline time" another part has gone.... and I fear some more ppl will drop vb/dx just because dx8 dont have ddraw anymore - making it HARD to make simple games for ppl just starting.... Iknow you can still use DX7, but try explain that to someone NEW to game programming..... I don't know, I'm tired and hoping I'm wrong.....
