You realise that the surfaces your talking about will need a powerful gfx card with lots of RAM to store it.....
think 2044 x 640 = 1308160 pixels.

Looks like it's the width of the surface that's screwing things up. Everything up to 2044 pixels wide works in 16 bit, and now 24 bit seems to be working fine, despite the fact that I didn't change anything. So why is it limiting me to 2044 in 16 bit mode and working fine in 24? My old card didn't have any of these problems and it's ancient. Are all video cards this fucked up or is it just mine?
