X-Hex up for download
1/2/2003 3:21:33 PM | Posted by: Codemonger | Post a commentWebsite X-Hex is ready for download, so visit the site and download the Full Trial version. Also we are giving away registered copies of X-Hex to individuals who can create an Artificial Intelligence Editor. Full details of how to begin will be up on the site very soon. It is pretty straight forward, you will have access to change the A.I. name, what A.I. type they will most likely resemble(attacker, defender, etc..), how they use weapons, and a couple of more secrets. You will be able to load and modify this information through a raw data file (text file, for easy editing). Also if you buy X-Hex and build an AI editor(that works) we will reimburse you for your initial investment. Good luck, and enjoy !

The curse of voodoovb(tm) is gone
12/16/2002 9:45:59 AM | Posted by: Eric Coleman | 4 comments Website Every so often, there is a foul curse in the air that consumes websites. This curse leaves websites dead and links broken, it is a horrible thing to witness. But now the Overmind is dead, Friday the 13th has passed, and I'm running out of story.
VoodooVB is back online. Hopefully it will survive the next ice storm. :-)
The Fallen Dragons - Client Preview
12/14/2002 10:23:12 PM | Posted by: [coax] | Post a commentWebsite I'm sure nobody has heard of us, but we've been around a while now. Our artist Sekonretsu recently completed our new main interface. I've been working hard on the new engine and as soon as it's done the alpha testing will begin.
For those who don't know, The Fallen Dragons is a text-based online RPG made in VB. It's similar to Realms of Kaos, but we hope to implement many more features. We have some great minds behind our project and we will be starting plan files soon so you can get a peek at what we're doing. We've already written up pages and pages of history, goverments, etc.
Also, if there are any features you would love to have in it, please e-mail me I'm open to all your ideas and this is the best time to let me know.
Files and Articles archive from VBGC
12/14/2002 3:41:24 PM | Posted by: Eric Coleman | Post a commentRemember VB Gaming Central? All the best bits in one place? Well, Adam Hoult, the webmaster of the now defunct VBGC, has given me access to the website's content. VBGamer is now hosting the old articles and files from VBGC, and they've been reformated to a much harder to read format. j/k.
Some of the articles have appeared in other places, but I've decided to keep them all in one place. As for the files, they are all original zip archives. Some of them might be missing a type library, and some are a bit old, but they're still great resources of programming information. I tested all of the files myself, and they all work. Although one of the files needs to be edited to rename the DirectX interfaces depending on which version of the old DirectX type library you use.
Check the console on the right side of the page. You'll find the links to the Articles and Files sections.
