Particle Engines with VB and DirectX 7 Warder (7 replies, 0 views) (2000-Jun-15) Hello, some of you have probably played Steps of Fate by BigKnife. Anyways, in the list of features, it said that it uses Particle Engine.
I definately want to make a particle engine for my game... like for smoke coming out of a chimnley (sp?) or dust trails, and mayhaps blood...
Does anybody know how to do this? I am using DirectDraw, all 2D tile engine stuff.. none of that 3D stuff so... anybody have any hints?
