GridGames v2.2 Released - LivingTarget (2 replies, 4148 views) (2006-Jan-28)
I just released GridGames v2.2, it's an rpg without a name. Hence the name GridGames. Technically it runs in 2D, no direct x at all, just good old picture boxes. Everything is build from scratch. The sprites/sound etc. are all gathered from various resources and are not mine, but they can be considered temporary.

It's nowhere near finished but this release will give a good idea where it is heading.

* Working save/load
* Multiple players (profiles)
* Skill system (Work-in-progress)
* Buying and selling works
* Working Map Editor

I must say I'm not that much into the VB game community so I hope it's interesting enough.

Didn't know you could edit your news posts, been shameful of my tags for a while now.

I'm making plenty of improvements all the time, here's some stuff that might appear in the next release.
* Some more work on the tiles
* Plenty of bug fixes, a few critical ones. Try buying more then one item that you already have. Image
* When fighting npc's they'll now mirror move you so you know they're attacking you.

* Working on a quick-use interface
* Working on projectiles, imagine fireballs/archery(hopefully)

Not sure when it will be released yet.
