Fetish Fighters Revealed Alpha Test JerryF (7 replies, 10 views) (2003-Nov-6) I've just posted an alpha version (very incomplete) of my new fighting game, Fetish Fighters Revealed. I really want to spend some time trying to polish this one, so I'd appreciate any suggestions.
Its just zipped up for now (no installer), so you'll need the VB6 runtime already installed, and IE 6 (for the XML DOM support.)
Here's a short list of some of the things I've put into it so far:
Characters have been shrunk to about 80 % of there original size. Power ups have been added!! You can now pickup a health power up, or pickup a strength power up The combo system has been rewritten to allow you to combine your own series of moves. Each character now has twice as many basic offensive moves as before Improved visuals with each character now being anti-aliased. More detailed stages Improved animated sequences Completely rewrote the collision detection system.

| | | Please note, the game hasn't been optimized at all, so it might be a system hog right now on older systems (my system is a 2100 XP,512 MB RAM,TI 4200).
Player 1 uses the curser keys, with Enter to select/punch, right ctrl to kick, and delete to block.
Player 2 uses x,c,v to punch, kick, and block, and w,a,s,z for up, left, right, down respectively.
| | | Ahh, you're making my computer feel so puny =P
Thats awesome, I didn't know Fetish Fighters was still going, I thought it stopped long ago ;)
| | | I think I have a death wish... Im going to show my wife this..
| | | Spodi, yeah I'm kind of taking it back to the drawing board a little, and do some things differently from the first one. Including spending a lot more time polishing the gameplay, and the overall look of the game.
Shannara, if it helps you can tell her my wife came up with the idea for the game in the first place :)
| | | I need help to make a 3D version of my game Soul of Sphere...
| | | FFR is all prerendered 3D (really 2d). It does require a D3D capable video card for effects (lighting, shadows, alpha blended effects like fog, etc.)
| | | For anyone interested, I finally got my D3D mirroring issue fixed, so here's a new version that should use much less ram, load about twice as fast, and improve the FPS.
