I hafta say I haven't even tried FF8, it's commercialization to the fullest from what i heard, here are hte factors: 1- call monsters cinemas have been extended from a short weewee break to a lunch break 2- the ending song is by a LOCAL (to me) canto-pop star, and as you don't live in Hong Kong, you don't know how LAME canto-pop is. 3- junction spells to stats? what do you mean? FF7 didn't suffer localizatio probs? I'm not 100% sure but there's gotta be bits cut out. FF5, if you play the emu version which is MUCH BETTER than square's translation, does not suffer from dummying down cuz it's done by hobbyists.
