Web Site Re-Design Jack Hoxley (9 replies, 0 views) (2001-Mar-18)

hi, I'm wanting to use my website as part of my portfolio soon, something that I can show off to a few important people that would be nice to impress (thats the motive dealt with!) So, I'm looking for a really simple, stylish design for my site. I intend to do it, so I'm not hunting for people to do it for me (although any help is appreciated). The key things that I need to incorporate are: • Banner Ads - part of the hosting agreement • Lots and lots of pages! • No *clever* stuff like java/Flash etc... JS menus and so on are okay though... as long as their compatable with most browsers • Easily maintainable, so I dont have to trawl through 300 html pages to make a simple update • No frames, so when people visit one of my tutorials externally they see the rest of the site - or links to it I really need something set up that allows me to have each page as a single HTML page, yet loaded up with the menu items and so on... Points of reference would be the (excellent looking) NeXe - nexe.gamedev.net/ and TheNexus - www.thenexus.bc.ca/ any people out there willing to help me plan this one/ideas etc...? Jack;
