Re: Direct3D: Newbie question... Kyle (3 replies, 0 views) (2001-Jan-5) Thanks but, no thanks. I'm sure that would be good for most people but no in my case. I'm pretty much just trying to make a 2D isometric tile engine in Visual Basic so that I get a feel for what I'm doing. I'm not the best with C++ yet and I've been doing VB for over 5 years so I'm a lot more comfortable in VB. So what I'm doing is making the engine in VB so that I know what will have to be done and I can get a pretty good feel for whats going on then I'm going to scrape this engine and make a new one in c++. I feel it would be better to learn what I'm doing with this engine part before I just go make it in a language that I'm not to good with yet and then on top of not know what I'm doing for the engine. I'm sure that might be right for a lot of these other people, but just not what I need. Can anyone else offer any help?
