Theres an option in 3DSMax (and others) to render the completed movie as Jpeg or bitmaps - at which point it'll just create a 100 or so stills for you to compile into one big surface....
Frame_000.Jpg
Frame_001.Jpg
Frame_002.Jpg
Frame_100.Jpg
and so on...
