Same Here Adam Hoult (3 replies, 0 views) (2000-Aug-3) Same Here, For me lookup tables are FAR quicker than Cos/Sin, but unfortunately it's almost impossible to use lookup tables when you are working with floating point values in 3d. i.e you want the Cosine of 265.003467 degrees. Some of you may say that you would never need this degree of accuracy, but all i have to say to that is ; Accumulative Errors !!! =)
In my experience, lookup tables are fine for 2d games, but when working in 3d, steer well clear of LUT's.
