Creating explosions -- free utility! Jay Wheeler (7 replies, 0 views) (2000-Jul-31) Hey all,
I've uploaded my Explosion Renderer utility that I wrote in hopes that somebody can put it to good use. It outputs sequentially numbered .BMP files (with corresponding alpha channels, if you can put them to use) at any size and however many frames you want! Very useful for games with things that blow up ;-) (Isn't that every game?!)
Here's the URL:

There are -A LOT- of sliders, so be warned! It is basically a simple particle-systems type thing, so experiment for the best results. Especially with the blurring functions and whatnot -- you can get some very cool results. Then, upload your saved .EXP files so I can check 'em out!
Any questions or comments, please post them here or via email, I'll check both regularly.
