Hello, I am creating a free offline action/rpg, much like the classic games Secret of Mana or Illusion of Gaia. My game is mainly about a young man named Hydel who is searching for a lost temple which his father died trying to find... throughout the adventure he meets lots of friends and discovers the truth about what really happened to his father. He also goes back and plays through his childhood through flashbacks and dreams. (the story is still being worked on, that's very general) The gameplay i'm hoping will be very similar to Secret of Mana, with a different battle system and jumping implemented, there is going to be one playable character (Hydel) and I'm hoping to have one customizable creature who follows you and helps you along your journey.. an example would be the dog that follows the hero in Secret of Evermore. I'm looking for someone who can program an engine to suit the needs of a SNES quality action/rpg. I will provide the artwork and story, and I already have a very talented midi musician working on this project, which is still untitled. I'm hoping to that someone will be able to program a good leveling and magic system. I'm planning on making this game 100% freeware.
