D3D IM Carl (5 replies, 0 views) (2000-Apr-8) Hi, I've just begun using D3D IM, I understand some of the basics and thank everyone who has made demos/examples on the subject, but I want to start doing something useful in D3D. So what I was wondering was how do you store objects, I mean do you make your own file type or use .x, .3ds etc. files. If you make your own file type then have you made your own editor or made a convertor from .3ds. And finally what info do you save in the files, just vertices, vertices and normals etc.
Any help will be greatly appreciated, and if anyone has a simple D3D example just showing how they load their files and use them in D3D that they could send me then that would be great.
Thanks
Ps. Looking forward to the PSP site Adam
