visual basic? Greg Knudson (12 replies, 0 views) (2000-Jun-23) Hey, I have a few questions to ask..
1.Why do other programmers (using C/C++) always laugh in the faces of VB programmers?
2. Is VB a viable alternative for games? you may think this is a dumb question after I've seen the amazing screenshots on the main page here, but do those actually run fast?
3.What will I need, aside from a good version of Visual basic (I have 6 enterprise)
and the DIRECTX SDK? Is there anything else you need to make games?
4. Is anyone working on a platform game? I really wanna see someone make one in VB, I love platform games like Super Metroid or Castlevania:SOTN
5.What do you all think of C# ( C Sharp) Microsoft's new programming language?
you can read about it at news.com, just do a search on C#
6.Is VB going to get any faster in the later versions (the upcoming version 7)
Thanks,
Greg
