Chandan (3 replies, 10 views) (2003-Apr-16) Good news for the Visual Basic community! Thanks to a lot of collaborative effort made by several leading 3D Visual Basic programmers, there is a new and improved VB SDK, which is now free for you to download.
Please note that the new SDK contains the new 3DSTATE engine version 6.0. It has no time limit and it is fully functional!

 | I downloaded the VB versions of their SDK (about 20 MB), I tried to install it but it asked me for a serial number. After going back to the website, I found the "free serial" number link. I had to give an email address so the serial number could be sent to me.
Overall there is a lot of information and a quite a few samples. Some of them are very nice, but they all had the text "Student License. Comercial use is illegal" over everything. To actually use this software you'll have to pay a minimum of $400 to get a license.  Heh, that was what I was going to say. This news seems to be a bait-and-switch tactic. It is fully functional, It is fully featured? No, it has that text on the screen.. yuk!
