Introducing the first release of Starfighter, the two player space battler. Two players can play at the same time on one keyboard and one screen to tag-team the enemies. Fight through 15 levels and 3 campaigns and unlock the deadly "deathmatch mode" where enemies rain on you harder and harder until you can't stand it. Initial relase will have bugs, please help me develop it further by reporting these bugs to mschmoyer@hotmail.com.

fun game, although... the game crashes randomly. This happens when my ship's bullet hits an enemy. Also, you could add customizble controls - i am more comfortable playing with arrows keys then wasd. You could also add an option for a higher detailed resolution.

Yeah, that's a tiny resolution, and a pretty low frame rate for what is going on. What are you using?

I am using the old DirectDraw7 in small resolution, and is absolutely optimized. I'm sure there is room for improvement, but most of the blame goes to DirectDraw7, anybody have an engine for 2D graphics in a better system?

You could try my engine, DXRE. http://mindless.sytes.net/ It's DX8 but has a more of an RPG style to it, though that is easy to change. It is still in beta though.

This reminded me of the game I made AirStrike, I made it in a day, it was fully rush-coded, i ran into lots of annoying logical errors, but I nailed most of them so the game plays right, if you'd like any help or tips to fix up certain parts of the game let me know, you can even ask me general questions about anything be it collisions, detecting certain events etc, just email me if you feel like it
