I have this really screwed up sound card in my computer. If I have the volume on my speakers turned all the way up, every mouse movement I make creates a "humming" sound similar to a light sabre.
it's strange, I know.
however, that leads me to the star wars episode 3 trailer. I told myself I wouldn't waste my time to see it during the opening weekend. Phantom Menace and Clone Wars were really bad IMHO, and I can't imagine that Return of the Sith would be any better. But the movie trailer looked amazing! drool As a side note so did the trailers for episodes 1 and 2. Don't get me wrong, I will see the movie, just probably not during the opening weekend (I hate crowded theaters, and I hate getting there an hour before the movie starts to have to sit in a crappy seat.)
Personally I've turned into a big fan of Firefly, and I will be first in line to see that movie when it comes out, which is just a few weeks before Return of the Sith. I think the timing for that movie could have been a bit better, but two sci fci movies nearly back to back is good for me. |

Yep. Bloody interference or something. I notice it too if I turn my amp up.

Put a microphone above a T.V or monitor (old CRT's :P). There, a real light saber! |

I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. 3 replies regarding the sound my mouse makes versus 0 replies with the new star wars trailer. Have any of youl seen it yet or am I just a super geek? |

We're programmers. We're more interesting at prodding wierd things and pulling them apart to see how they work underneath. ;P
Speaking of computers making lightsaber humming noises though. I can take the long light thingi out of my case (I forget what it's called) and wave it infront of the crappy web cam and it looks just like a lightsaber..... except half the length is blue and the other half red. XP
Honestly though I seem to be one of the few people who wasn't dissapointed with the first two movies and didn't spend 2 hours complaining that they could have done it better. Admittedly I'm not in any way a fan of it though.

I think it's called a "neon".
I too liked the first two movies... altough one can't say the first three weren't better, of course.
EDIT: The Yoda battle in the end of Clone Wars was pretty good too. |
Whatever. Who knows... |

Nono. Pretty sure neon was the older kind. Though Pretty sure it's the same kinda thing. For soem reason cold cathode tube or something is popping to mind though. |

Star Wars 3 tralier! zzzZZZip! (Head off to apply quick time movie traller site) Argghh it's not there! Google help me! Wu hooo! May 05 release data. Only 6 months to go.
As for you sound card, I remember having a similar problem with my sound blaster 16 when I as still using a 486. ... Hmmm, If memory serves I think it went away on it's own, and I had chalked it up to interference. |
