Posted - May 01 2006 : 12:22:29 PM I already am a moderator, but I don't really have time for much else. This course I am taking is eating up pretty much all the time I used to use doing programming related things. |

Posted - Apr 19 2006 : 02:24:00 AM VB game news needs to be posted to higher profile sites, say on their forums or whatever. |

Posted - Apr 19 2006 : 12:19:13 AM Although phpBB is nice, this forum is pretty nice, too. Though I personally dont really think the problem is with the forum as much as not enough VB game news. |

Posted - Apr 18 2006 : 10:44:43 PM I think if you want to attract people you will need to hook into better forum software like phpBB. The rest of the site doesn't need to be php of course, but will need to use the same session data, etc. |

Posted - Apr 18 2006 : 9:08:21 PM How about VSGamer? ;-) Make "VS" double meaning of Visual Studio and Versus. That way we can accomodate almost all flavors of .Net. |

Posted - Apr 17 2006 : 7:01:33 PM I can possibly add content as I develop my game(s), and programs, I can write articles on VB6, VB.Net, and C++ for beginners (possibly PHP with MySQL for beginners too).
I could moderate, I spend a fair bit of time on teh internet.
Spreading the word, possibly, think I could pull a few people to the site.
and I can help develop backend website 'stuff' ^_^, if it's PHP and MySQL, I do have VS2005, but I haven't really tried doing anything in ASP.Net/web stuff with it etc.. |

Posted - Apr 17 2006 : 5:52:40 PM I think we can all agree that the only way to survive is to expand. On that note, I've been trying to come up with a new domain name that is not as specific as "vb." I haven't had much success finding a name, which is why I'm posting this. I'd like for everyone to brainstorm and come up with ideas. Please email me instead of posting here. I don't want web bots to crawl the website and find unregistered domain names. Email me your ideas.
What kind of stuff are you willing to do to help the site grow? Can you add content, moderate, spread the word, help develop the backend website stuff? |
