I was just going to copy the hw info I posted on the help bin and discovered that it appears to have been cleared out! What happened! Have we lost all our Hardware profiles/ Beta testers info etc. Did I not get the memo?

Anyway, it means "Be careful of what you wish. It may come true."

Of course they can post in Russian or whatever, just be sure to post about VB Gaming, not UO.

...wait, was UO programmed in VB?

I don't think it matters if you use a different language. People from many different countries visit this website. English is my only language, but that shouldn't stop other people from having discussions. Be free! Be happy!

And if anyone wants a forum dedicated to your native language, then I'll be happy to create it for you. Of course, you'll have to moderate it since I won't be able to read anything.

The guy was asking (in portuguese) about UO... so he probably doesn't know english. I felt I'd better post in portuguese too anyway

I still use the sire for news (when it's posted) and I often check back to simple see what people are talking about. You can't do that with other sites! VBGamer moves at just the right pace, so that anyone can keep up with all the content changes/additions as well as fourm posts.

I also keep checking back at the help bin every so often. It's a great feature even if it's not used that often.
I was thinking of using it actually but decided not to because mushroom picking season is going to start and I will be living out in the bush for anoth 3 or so months. But I will surley make use if it after that.

I was going to use it once but never got around to finishing off anything that could really be tested.

This is still a great site though and I'm glad that it's here (even if I rarely contribute to anything ). We're organising a few programmers and budding artists here at work to get something started (and hopefully finished) and, oddly enough, a pm has even jumped on board to keep us on track . So I guess I'll be adding more info soon to keep you guys all up to date with how it's going (and will more then likely even need to make use of the helpbin ).

I dunno about the help bin, but this site isn't dead yet. I don't know if you noticed, but the tutorials are still helping people. Somebody commented on one of mine and asked for a tutorial on using managed DirectSound, which I hope I can do one day.

It's a slow moving site, but it's always been slow moving. It doesn't mean it's not useful. Please don't get discouraged.

Actually, the email gets sent out every 3 months. I suppose I could change it so that informaiont is hidden instead of deleted. I suppose spam filters and such have made email notification someone unreliable.

And while we're on the subject of the help bin, has anyone actually used it? I figured more people would be interested in it, but this site seems to have really died.
Lachlan87 Posted - Jul 27 2005 : 09:24:08 AM
That's a good question. Once a month Eric sends out an e-mail notifing people that their information is expiring, and that they have to go to VBGamer and click something to keep it active. It's supposed to keep dead info out of the help bin. It sounds like you didn't get that memo.
