Posted - Jun 03 2005 : 2:49:28 PM I've been working on a new game now for around 6 months. Up to this point I've created the engine and have worked on stabilizing it. The only thing that I'm really desperate for is good looking modern day character sprites. I've been working with 32x32 tiles and 32x24 characters. Any help or links would be much appreciated.

Posted - Jun 04 2005 : 8:53:19 PM Thanks for the input.
I have been debating about starting up a site for the game but this morning I decided to go ahead and do it. So far all I have up is a ROUGH homepage but it's a work in progress and I'm sure it will help with getting help and input for the game. Also if anyone has any VB Gaming websites that they would like linked then feel free to leave an address. One more thing, I was wondering if anyone else has had trouble using TransparentBlt in a .exe file. It works fine in the VB environment but I have trouble with it once compiled. To show that dedication, you'll need to demonstrate a nearly complete working version of your game. This means you'll need to use temporary artwork, "programmer art," as a place holder for your tiles and sprites. Having a 95% finished game tells any prospective artists that you won't abandon the project, thus waisting their time and effort.
On that note, maybe its time you setup a website so people can see what you've accomplished so far. |
