Posted - Mar 14 2005 : 1:43:26 PM Google ads are great, leave them in. It helps keeps this site, and it may even pay for sites hosting, like they do for me but you need to have the ones on frontpage placed a little better for me I have to scroll over just to see the ads. My resoultion is 800 x 60. |

Posted - Mar 12 2005 : 05:24:44 AM Actually I'll leave them on because they ARE relevant ads. |

Posted - Mar 11 2005 : 10:45:44 AM I accidentally killed the Google ad's for my machine with Adblock. . . Someday I'll have to fix that, because I don't mind Google ad's. |

Posted - Mar 11 2005 : 10:08:37 AM You can turn the google adds off on the main page. If you haven't configured the layout yet then you can just remove the google adds from the second column. I'll probably include an option to turn off advertisements in a few days. But right now I have lots of real work that I need to finish first. And if you're using Firefox, then download the Adblock extension, it works great.
Also, please don't click any advertisements unless you're really interested in it. I want to see how well these adds work on thier own. I'll probably give it a few more weeks and if I don't see any results then I'll remove them. |

Posted - Mar 10 2005 : 3:37:27 PM Yeah, I have actually clicked some. I just found it weird to see ads here at VBGamer.
edit: I gues I'll click some here once in a while to help support VBGamer. |

Posted - Mar 10 2005 : 2:08:00 PM Nothing wrong with Google ads. They're a nice inconvienent way of supporting a site, and not too bothersome to the visitors. |

Posted - Mar 09 2005 : 7:38:43 PM If you haven't configured the font page yet, there's another addition that I've added to help with bandwidth costs. If you don't see it, then don't worry about it. |

Posted - Mar 09 2005 : 3:42:49 PM Well, it used to work. I'm not sure what changed. I fixed it and tested it in IE6, so I know it's working now. However I think it's probably broke in IE5, which I don't have installed on computers, so I can't test it. If anyone reading this gets the error in IE5, then please let me know. |
