More info in the help bin.
Seems like a dramatic difference compared to my machine for only a 200MHz difference, but she doen't beat her computer into submission as thoroughly as I do.
*EDIT: Furthur testing gave 79-62 more often than 93-62, so I changed the numbers. |

Posted - Nov 30 2004 : 5:05:21 PM Dunno for sure why mine would be faster. I did some tweaking to get rid of unnecessary services and such. Maybe that's it?
I have 25 processes running when I test, counting firefox, taskmanager, and your program. Also, it says I have 771MB ram free when your program is running.
Changing your program's priority in task manager doesn't seem to change my number's any, but if I have J. River Media Center playing music minimized in the background with the g-force visualization on, my numbers are more like 110 max, 46 min.
I'll see if I can try it on another computer later. |

With some stuff running in background: Winamp (no music playing), MSN (no conversation windows open), HotSync manager, one explorer window, one mspaint window with a very small (blank) pic, FireFox with 2 tabs open (in one of which I'm writing now).
Athlon XP 2200+ (1800 Mhz) 256MB RAM DDR 266 Mhz Windows XP Professional SP1
(I'm in the Help Bin too.)
TaskManager tells me: around 50MB of physical memory free. 316MB of paginated memory used. 40 processes running. |
