Posted - Nov 12 2004 : 8:10:24 PM Whenever I access the VBGamer main page, ZoneAlarm asks me if Firefox can accept connections from the internet. Very few other sites do this, and it doesn't really seem to matter whether I say yes or no. Got any idea what makes VBGamer speacial?
Of course, it could just be ZoneAlarm acting weird. . . |

Posted - Nov 14 2004 : 6:34:25 PM Yup, it just happened now when I was accessing gpwiki, which it has never done before. I guess ZoneAlarm is just nuts. |

Posted - Nov 14 2004 : 1:48:41 PM Heh, now I can't get it to reoccur! Probably just ZoneAlarm being nuts, like when it randomly decides to ask if it should block itself, claiming it doesn't recognise the program trying to access the internet. |

Posted - Nov 13 2004 : 8:28:41 PM I always go to the main page first, so I don't really know the answer to your question. I'll experiment tomorrow. It's just about my bedtime and my older brother is playing Medieval Total War on my computer. It doesn't happen at all on my Mom's computer, maybe because I don't have it automatically log me in on her machine. |

Posted - Nov 12 2004 : 9:05:51 PM that's wierd. Is it just the default index page at vbgamer or is any page on a first visit? Does zone alarm give a specific IP address?
I couldnt' image what would cause that. There are no advertisements, flash, or java elements. All images and files are off the vbgamer server, so nothing is ever downloaded from any other site (except for when people post images here in the forum). There is a style sheet and some javascript to make the floating div for the gamedev and forum sections, and that's it. |
