I was just kidding around--sorry if I ticked off the guy asking the question or anything. Maybe we should all work together to compile a manual for newbies on where and how to get information if they are serious about programming a game. Because we all see this kind of thing a lot. Alex, remember the Yeu Kang Hua thing on VBGP's board? It isn't fair to see newbies get repeatedly flamed for such posts, but at the same time it's important not to coddle the idea that many of us have had coming into game development- gimme a month and I can program the next Quake killer. That mentality is dangerous if you really want to program games. If you don't set realistic goals for yourself, nothing will ever get done and you'll never learn. Just a few thoughts for any new guys here who really want to make something out of programming. Again, I apologize for my hasty reply. I'll try to have more tact...but no promises! ;) tatsuo
