Hi Tyler... Nice that you found your way to this excellent site. I don't use ICQ, because I only visit the net while I'm on work and here we have a firewall that prevends me from using ICQ. Sorry. But you can catch me by mail as effective as through ICQ from Mon-Fr (8:00-16:30 MET). O.K. for your questions: I think that you should get a copy of Paint Shop Pro for 2D graphics. It is shareware and expires after 120 day or so. There are also some freeware programs you can use (Ultimate Paint, QPaint etc.) but PSP is the best I think. For 3D graphics (I think we will stay legal and don't have enough money to earn the real cool tools) there is POV-Ray (use Moray with it) a raytracing program. You can also use 3D Blender a freeware renderer. Bryce3D is also not too expensive. There was a version of 3D Studio 4.0 on a compilation CD here in germany, but I think it not more available. Hmmm... So how should you get started? Well Lucky's Site and Voodoo VB have a lot ot tutorials. http://members.home.net/theluckyleper/ http://www.redrival.com/voodoovb/ You should also browse the archives of this VB gaming site. There are some very nice gems hidden in there too. If you have specific questions, just set a request on this board. The community will give you a hand. If you get more skilled, you should visit the VBRevolution3D site: http://www.vbrevolution3d.de or the CDVG site: http://francis.dupont.free.fr/coindev/english/ which will give you some deeper impression of 3D programming. But don't hurry. Just start using 2D. You can do a lot with it. Bye for now.... Torsten
