I thought of a way to handle it, but alpha-blending will be too slow unless someone else has a better and faster way. I could use the gamma control until a message pops up in which I could change the gamma back to normal and use alpha-blending until the message is gone, then the gamma will change again. Does anyone else have a better solution?
