The .X Files - The Tutorial is Out There... PyroBoy (4 replies, 0 views) (2000-Apr-2) This has probably been asked many a time before, but humor me...
Where can I find a good tutorial or reference about .X files? I want to be able to load polys from them into a D3DIM scene. I hear you can do it with D3D Retained mode, which would be fine, but it would also be neat to know enough about the file format's layout that I can open it up in binary mode or something and read the geometry directly. Anyone know anything about this?
