Games Dying + haste again... The Gilb (0 replies, 0 views) (2000-May-13) I think the reason so many VB games fail is because a programmer (Like me) comes across a problem, tries to figure it out, gets bored because the game is going nowhere and then starts another project...
Between when I started haste with S o o p and now, I have done my homepage, written new (And expandable) game engines, written a few applications and learned a lot.
I think it's good that I had a break from haste because now I'm ready for developing it further. BTW - if anyone thinks they can help me with haste in any way (Anyone with knowledge of 3D programming can help, I can help with working with the Genesis3D engine no problems, it's quite straight forward) - please email me and if possible show me a demo of what you can do... I need help in network, physics and general 3D programming (Genesis3D has functions which do extremely complicated kinetics and dynamics with a few function calls, and also has a top networking section. So only experience is required).
I need help because I know (And always knew) I can't do this on my own. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I dont want to release the source yet because I want to do more work on it before anyone alters it in any way I'm not happy with.
A programmer with experience in 3D physics could change this game from good to mind blowing. My vision is of being able to do a loop the loop, fly off a ramp, in mid air shoot your opponent down into the ground and land on the other side making your way to no.1 in the race.
Email me if you can help.
