I dont think it is an easy task to have something accomplished without some sort of fear. Businesses can get things done because they have hard working teams that have "The Fear". If the people don't work, then they starve.
I'm not saying that someone needs to pay us, although it would sure help. Possibly if we produced a good enough game it could be sold. It is, however, highly unlikely because of the nature of Visual Basic. Some computers might malfunction due to inefficiencies brought on by vb.
