The span tags are for CSS... In the middle of development I got frustrated with endless typing of font tags with variables in php, so decided to learn CSS. I will look into this - Netscape/IE don't agree at ALL on how to handle font sizes in CSS :( IE5 is the closest browser to the standard, so I went with that. Personally I don't run netscape simply because IE is always resident in memory (at least partially) and therefore I don't like to waste MORE ram by having 2 browsers loaded. Right now I'm running WinXP beta 2, which includes IE6 and things look great in it. I personally don't like the browser war - if it must be known, I would *love* to use nutscape over internet exploder, but the way netscape grew to be so much more than just a browser turned me away from it - it became a huge memory hog for me at a time when ram was (and still is) a scarce resource. *end rant* :) David
