DirectX testure (10 replies, 0 views) (2001-Mar-1) i was wondering if anybody here knows of any good books or online reference relating to DirectX in visual basic. i'd consider myself an intermediate VB programmer who is interested in writing DX visual basic games, however, all i can find so far are books relating to the C++ aspect of directx API.
as it stands right now, i know zilch about directx programming, and all of the tutorials i can find floating around are so sparatic its insane (for example.. "tutorial 1: how to initialize direct draw", then "tutorial 2: how to add caustic lighting and alphablending to your 3D games").
ANY help you guys can give would be greatly appreciated. hell, if i ever write a game worth distributing i'll even stick your name in the credits! how's that? heh...
thanks in advance
