The problem is within the namespaces the new framework uses. Since VB6 and older didn't have this (all are loaded into the same namespace) the functions (not just d3dx functions) that have interfaces within interfaces are shot. The DX team is the problem not .NET .NET is actually quite nice. Either you are going to hate it and give up or love it and embrace its potential. They have made a leap into the realm of CS programmers. Either you know how to program or you don't. Not sure I liked the idea at first, but seeing as how I can now do work in either VB.NET, C# or C++.NET with little or no conversions, and have everything I weanted in VB, well, how can I argue.
