Z-Buffers, Textures, DirectX8 and transparencies.. Jack Hoxley (1 reply, 0 views) (2000-Dec-31) hi,
Something with Dx8 is really really really really pissing me off. Why, when I enable alpha blending for transparent textures, and have my Z-Buffer enabled will transparencies refuse to work???
My code looks fine, the same as they used for the tutorials in the SDK - and it works fine for TL vertices, but not for pure 3D geometry...
Could someone please lemme see their initialisation code for anything that uses transparent textures on a 3D object?? Just for comparison, not stealing...
The sooner someone helps me with this the quicker I finish up my tutorial on Point sprites/particle systems in D3D... :)
