I know that ICQ uses several clever tricks - non rectangular windows, gradient titlebars (in Win95) and always-on-top code - probably others as well.. Just check with other programs to make sure it is a localized thing and put it down as a known issue.... look in any game readme.txt file and they'll usually have a list of things not to do when the game is running... it doesn't seem unreasonable to me to ignore this one and just let the user know that theres a problem.... Or you could always do some thread snooping and check if ICQ is running - then alert your user to the fact... But all that's useless if you're application wants ICQ to run at the same time :) Jack;
