Steven Blom (0 replies, 0 views) (2000-Dec-1) But I'm using the information in a tutorial, *L* I'm trying to avoid really technical things and putting it all in PLAIN english, I don't want to confuzzle new people that come straight to DirectX8, since the plan is that they realise how to make a 2D tile engines with advanced effects using a 3D wall.
More advanced users get to do some real 3D rendering with an explanation of what things mean. But it's true, ByRef 0 is pretty much just telling DirectGraphics that the object isn't present.
