The new site, etc. David Goodlad (14 replies, 0 views) (2000-Nov-21) Hi guys
Okay, here's the deal with the new site that I've mentioned on that huge thread below (60+ posts!!)...
I've started developing it but with so much 'at stake' here I've decided that I really need to plan it WELL. That means I'm going to take a day or two to model my design+development process, and from that be able to create a timeframe for the project itself. My GUestimate right now is for an initial opening by christmas, which would be perfect as that would give me the whole xmas holiday to debug things that come up in the initial opening (these things are bound to happen, we as programmers all know that hehe).
I need some feedback from you guys though. Right now feature suggestions about what you WANT in the site won't help me much; I need to know what you guys DO so that I can provide what it takes to improve what you do. When you go to a website, what do you do with it? do you look for help from other people directly? Do you head straight for sample source code downloads? Etc.
With this type of info, I can plan things much better, and then I can take some feature suggestions :)
David
