Look Lorn, I know you think you're helping here, but this kind of thing DOESN'T give the webmaster any inspiration to actually update the web site, all david will end up thinking (as I did many times) is Why the f**k should I bother ??? If this is the kind of thing people are saying to me, then I may as well just pull the damn site down.. Now Ok you may think, so what ?? You're just one guy, there are many who still enjoy the site (even if it's just the BBS) and I put a LOT of work into the automated news system (it's PHP not crappy CGI) and I know David is a very busy guy at the moment... Sometimes I didn't manage to update the site for a couple of weeks, and all I got was abuse, "WHAT THE HELL !!!!! It's not as if anyone is actually paying me to do this"... nobody ever bothered to click on my banner, and in the year or so that I ran this site, i made $8 from my banner (mainly thanks to lucky and the regulars) but it cost me about $1000 to run the site for you guys.... Unfortunately sometimes you have to go out and make the money to pay for these things, it doesn't all come free.. I'm sure David feels the same, so people should just lay off, it will be updated soon enough.... Unfortunately a vast majority of the "internet generation" expects everything a) for free, b) as quick as possible c) when they want it..... Some of these people don't seem to understand that sometimes the people at the other end of the Fiber Optics have a life to run too.... Lorn : I'm not aiming any of this at you, the tone of the e-mail sparked something that's been a bone of contention for a long time....
