RE: Polygons/Meshes/Models DarkAngel (0 replies, 0 views) (2000-Oct-23) That may work, but let's take a square for example it goes
0---1
/
2---3
Atleast for a triangular strip.
I haven't really bothered using the other's but I had a look in the DX SDK examples and there's one there which will make pyramids easy, define the top point then define the bottom 4 in clockwise order, just need to think of a flat piece of paper.
You know how you get those flat cardboard cut out's and you need to glue the edges together to make a 3d shape ? Anyway beside the point ;)
I'm a bit confused to be honest although I'm sure I have the basic's all worked out.... I'm just trying to get my hand's on the theory of 3D programming, and *why* it's like that... yeah I know I should go do a course at QANTM or something :) |
