I was simply trying to point out that working in the games industry will not make you rich. The salary for game programmers are a lot less than what many computer consultants make. Many people actually thinks that if you're a game programmer, you make loads of money and can drive around in Ferrari's and the like, and I was trying to explain that this is not true. Those who DO make loads of money and drive around in cars are people like John Carmack, who have their own company and make bestseller games. I never suggested it would be easy, but if you are into the games industry for the money, you would have a better chance to be rich by having your own company than by working for someone else. And of course you can make a decent living on what a game programmer makes, in fact more than just decent. My point is that you're not going to be rich, and if that's your goal, there are other fields of the computer industry that has a better payoff. /Corre
