All you VB D3D gurus (I know you're out there!!), I need any and all ways to speed up rendering in D3D IM using the software emulator. Heck, any performance tips at all would be great, hardware or not...
Most especially performance while using textures. Textured rendering is just plain painfull under RGB emulation.
Also, can anyone tell me why the software rendering device draws wireframe at about the same speed as filled gouraud shaded polys? It does, and it makes no sense at all...
