Ok, I think IM, is better because you can do ALOT more things with it. It may be complicated.... The speed is alot better than RM.
RM is good for only two things, Easy-to-use and opens X files really easily.
IM is good for Speed, and complexitity.
They both can do 3d scenes, I prefer IM, but this is my opinion.
