I think posting news as it's received was probably what Adam had intended had he the time to do so :)
Which means, yes, you're on the right track.
Though, it MIGHT be an idea to implement news submission forms (image ready)... I mean, Adam talked about it once or twice, and teh fact that you're only posting news from people's emails... perhaps a moderated news submsision?
