hi, Can anybody point me towards a method of compression and/or archiving? Preferably an API call for compression - but I doubt it, anyone seen any good (free) compression tools for developers? My situation: I have to save several files to save a complete archive; these files are often 500-900kb (so the total level is ~5mb) - which isn't good. Using winzip I can get that size down to about 100k per file, which is acceptable...... Anyone got any ideas? thanks in advance.
