Oh so you mean is it worth learning DX7 now, or waiting for 8. Well I would say learn 7 now, it will get you started, and then you can make some decent stuff in DX8 when its released. It won't be too hard to convert from DX7 to DX8, most of the syntax will be the same, or very similar, and the tutorials supplied with the SDK will get you working on it easy enough. But if you don't learn DX7 now, then its going to take a while to get into DX8, just as it will take you time now to learn DX7.
