Entering a crowded genre... Rag on a Stick (9 replies, 0 views) (2000-Aug-5)

I'm planning an RTS right now, similar in gameplay to the traditional RTSs (like Starcraft and C&C), but I don't want to end up with just *another* RTS. So right now, I plan to completely ditch multiplayer and focus on the single player game and also allow you to only play as one race. It sounds limiting maybe, but it will allow me to focus more on gameplay I think. It is going to be set in space, with you being a citizen of a small band of people who are unknown to those on Earth living on the asteroid belt and due to a few misunderstandings, you end up in war with Earth. Does anyone have ideas regarding this (and I know there is little detail, but I must keep some things secret) or any feedback on my current ideas?
