The error -2005532222 means "Surface lost", and usually happens if you aly+tab in a sloppy program ( = all of mine :) If you haven't downloaded it already I really recommend Daniel Netz little dxhelp program (available over at voodoovb). It tells you what all the error numbers mean, However, the DDFLIP_DONOTWAIT should actually be DDFLIP_WAIT, a mistake by me. It might work if you change that.
