Speaking of Scripting Engines.... Lynx of CP (5 replies, 0 views) (2000-Jul-7)

I was considering how to make a scripting language based on BASIC (Due to it's simplicity and versitility...) Theoretically, you could make an encoding engine to replace text with ANSI coded gibberish right? eg, replace "IF" with chr$(245) and viola, you've got a scripting encrytion system that you could set up for yourself. Of course, it's hardly the most secure form of encryption, but none the less... it is a cheap way to combat the fear of other people ripping off/changing the scripts of your game. Another pointless comment from: Steven Blom
