Okay, Basically, when you draw to a back buffer, (Which has the same properties as a primary surface) you're just telling the video card that the memory is at a different address in memory. Okay? So, In order to do flipping in windowed mode, you'd have to co-ordinate your page flipping WITH windows. That doesn't work unfortunately. Page flipping only works in an exclusive mode because it doesn't do any maths on the width and position of what's being displayed. it is for that reason why Blitting is the only option for those in windowed mode. *L* I probably confused the hell outta ya.
