3D studio Max for my Money - I have Max2 and 3. It has lots of plugins, and is fairly easy to use. I only use it for D3D modeling and logos so I cant comment on the advanced stuff... I think it's slightly more power hungry than Lightwave. I did have Lightwave 5.5 once, but I hated it... Although it's highly illegal I was passed a link by a friend (who does this sort of thing)- 4freak.com Does all that pirate software crap, he said you could download Max3..... I know I shouldn't be mentioning this, but what the hell....
